Discover the story of Denis Bugrov, Deputy CEO of Masterise Aviation Infrastructure and Chief Transformation Officer, and his vision to redefine the airport model in Vietnam while building a world-class team to shape a landmark aviation ecosystem.
As Deputy CEO of Masterise Aviation Infrastructure and Chief Transformation Officer, Mr. Denis Bugrov is helping shape a different way of leading — “leading through differentiation” — for one of the most ambitious projects Masterise Group has ever undertaken.
Join us as Mr. Denis shares his journey of committing to a landmark project in Vietnam, his vision of elevating an airport beyond its traditional role, and above all, his perspective on the people of Masterise Group — those who dare to dream big and create new benchmarks.
From a decision made in less than 24 hours…
With more than 20 years of experience across global organizations, Mr. Denis had many established and proven career paths ahead of him. Yet when he first learned about the Gia Binh project, the decision came quickly.
In less than 24 hours, he chose Vietnam and Masterise Group as the place where he wanted to build something truly meaningful.
First arriving in Asia in 2015, Mr. Denis had the opportunity to collaborate with major financial institutions in Vietnam and across the region. Looking back at Vietnam’s development today — as well as the growth of Masterise Group and its ecosystem over the years — he remains deeply impressed by the country’s maturity, energy, and potential.
“Vietnam has a very special energy — people who are ambitious, serious about what they do, willing to work hard, and brave enough to dream big. Vietnam really stands out.”
That energy ultimately influenced his decision to join Masterise Group and become part of a country undergoing profound transformation.
…to the ambition of “redefining” airports in Vietnam
Gia Binh International Airport is not simply an infrastructure project. It is being developed as a future regional hub — designed from the ground up to be technology-native, customer-centric, and deeply connected to the city and its community.
Developed under a greenfield model, the project gives Mr. Denis and the wider team a rare opportunity to rethink airport development from first principles rather than being constrained by legacy systems or traditional operating models.
The ambition is simple, but bold: to rethink what an airport in Vietnam can be.
“This project clearly embodies the values Vietnam represents today: strong growth, inner strength in a new era, optimism, and an aspiration to rise.”
From the customer experience perspective, the airport aims to create more seamless and personalized journeys, using data and technology to better understand and serve passengers across every touchpoint.
Beyond transportation infrastructure, the airport is envisioned as part of a broader city and community — a destination that can bring together mobility, commerce, entertainment, business, and new experiences.
This differentiated vision and the scale of the project also create a powerful proposition for global talent, attracting leading international experts who want to help redefine the airport model in Vietnam.
…and a desire to collaborate, grow, and create value together
As the first large-scale private airport in Vietnam approved by the National Assembly, the project carries significant responsibility — but also immense potential.
This is not simply one airport project. It represents a portfolio of approximately 20 different businesses operating within the airport ecosystem, creating diverse opportunities for Business Leaders to work on large-scale and complex ventures.
For Mr. Denis, one of the most exciting aspects of the journey is not only the scale of the project, but also the people who will bring it to life.
“To achieve these ambitions, we are looking for a team of Business Leaders with the capability and drive to take each area from concept, strategy, and business model through partner selection and real-world execution. This is not just about designing strategy — it is about turning strategy into results.”
The early stages of the project will demand intensity, commitment, and resilience. At the same time, they offer an exceptional opportunity for individuals who want to grow, take ownership, and contribute to something of national significance.
We invite capable and ambitious leaders to join us — those ready to turn challenges into opportunities, push beyond conventional boundaries, and create long-term value together.
